Events

As one of the suppliers of photography to the CTICC, I’ve attended and photographed various events whether it be conferences, product launches, award ceremonies or fund raisers.

Each event needs a specific brief as no two are the same. Some of these events need a team of photographers to cover breakaway sessions, gala dinners etc, such as WINDABA. Others need immediate uploads to meet the requirements of news and social media such as CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards, while others need one photographer capturing the event with specific sessions like AfricaCom.

Please contact us for further information regarding events.

AfricaCom
AfricaCom, the leading tech event returned for its 17th annual edition in November 2014. The event was a great success, with over 9,000 attendees.

WINDABA 2014
We were at WINDABA,  the annual wind energy conference and exhibition held at the CTICC hosted by the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) in partnership with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).

Tai Kang Banquet Dinner

The Tai Kang Banquet Dinner was a spectacular affair held at the CTICC.  The decor was brilliant for this event with the venue being  transformed into an African adventure. Filled with everything African and the entertainment to captivate the audience, there was one special guest that had to make an appearance. One of the Cheetahs from the cheetah outreach.

Staying calm, being next to one of the most beautiful animals on the planet was a great experience.

Fine Brandy Fusion at CTICC

The best of brandy was seen in the Mother City at the Fine Brandy Fusion 2014  held at the CTICC.  The award winning brandies with 50 premium brandy brands and masterclasses with tasting sessions were all held under one roof.  Each stall with its own design of elegance and prestige.

Another award winner was in “the house”, Mi Casa.  The band that has more than just South African’s talking, took to the stage, got the crowd on their feet and everybody loved every minute of the bands performance.  Leaving the best for last, they ended off with Jika which is one of their most popular hits.

10 Shades of Pink:
The Pink Lunch was held at Cape Town’s Rotunda at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay to create awareness for breast cancer and raise funds for Reach for Recovery.  The event held in true Gatsby style was organized by Nina Monda of Monda PR, Publicity and Events and we were proud to be on of the sponsors for this event.  More images can be seen here.

CNN Multichoice African Journalist Awards 2013

The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards 2013 took place on Saturday evening at the CTICC.  My team was privileged to be a part of this prestiges award ceremony.

A photograph of all the finalists was taken on stage before the ceremony began and the prize winners were photographed as the awards were handed out.  Images were made ready for press release as the event unfolded with tweets and news updates being made simultaneously.

Well done to all the award winners. Msindisi Fengu and Yandisa Monakali, from South Africa, took the top prize at the Ceremony.  Congratulations!

WINDABA 2013
We had the privilege of being the photographers for WINDABA 2013, the official wind industry event hosted by South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) and Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) held at the CTICC.

Having a team of four photographers, we set out to capture the keynote speakers, breakaway sessions, exhibition stands, the awards ceremony and gala dinner.

Moyo
Gala dinner held at Moyo Spier with almost 1000 guests for the evening.

World Economic Forum
The main objective for this client was to photograph Mr Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum that took place at the CTICC.

ANA Magazine
ANA Magazine was launched in Cape Town at the One & Only and they required a photo booth complete with branded background as well as the unveiling of their first issue.
