White Orchid

I have been busy going through images of mine from the last few years for a project I’m working on. One of my favorite subjects has been flowers. The absolute beauty of a flower has been the inspiration for many people over the ages of time. Whether for the office, home, special occasion, romance or art, flowers have the capability of letting one stop and have a second look.

With each flower and variety that God has put on this planet for us to enjoy, one of “show stoppers” must surely be the Orchid. Here are some white Phalaenopsis that I found in my archives. Two of these images hang in my office at home.

Marc Lottering

What a great opportunity to shoot Marc Lottering again. It is always a pleasure and of course, always a laugh with one of South Africa’s best comedians. At least this time we are in the safety of Roodebloem Studios and not the rooftop of a building with nothing but gravity between the railing, Marc and the pavement, as was the case of our previous shoot.

With Marc’s up coming show’s, he will be captivating his audience’s whether at Baxter, Spier, Hemingway’s or SOHO, wherever the captain of the stage lands, you’ll find him having a good time and taking you along for the ride.

Behind the Scenes

Ever wandered what happens behind the scenes of a shoot? While on a shoot for House and Leisure Magazine, I decided to try out a time laps function that I had on my iPhone.  The shot seems simple enough, but every little detail has to be accounted for, as post production text has to be put on to the images.

Shot at Wembley Studios in Cape Town, our day looked a bit like this.
